Job description

Digital Content Merchandiser - France and Belgium

We are seeking an experienced Digital Content Merchandiser to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will take ownership of new product introductions to our French and Belgium websites, ensuring placement and navigation that enhances the user journey and creating content that enhances the customer’s understanding of the product. You will collaborate closely with merchandising colleagues and the commercial team to optimise the user experience across our French and Belgium websites. Using insights and analytics, you will understand customer needs and pain points, taking action to simplify navigation and drive better conversion rates.

This role can be based in the UK, with hybrid working (after a period of training), consisting of 3 days in the Avonmouth office and 2 days working from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Category Optimisation: Ensure assigned categories meet customer and business requirements.
  • Product Copy: Deliver quality product descriptions, adhering to SEO best practices.
  • Content Creation: Create and translate copy for long-form pages, email, homepage banners, and printed publications.
  • Analytics: Utilise tools like Adobe Analytics and GA4 to analyse and optimise user journeys.
  • Website Management: Handle ad-hoc changes such as delivery info, discontinued products, and asset management.
  • Performance Reporting: Run and maintain reports to assess and improve category performance regularly.

Capabilities, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Fluent French & English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in digital merchandising or digital marketing.
  • Proven ability to translate professional content from English to French.
  • Strong data interrogation and decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of SEO.
  • Deep understanding of the online customer journey.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, managing own workload while contributing to the broader team.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with SEO platforms such as Conductor, Brightedge.
  • Analytics experience with tools like Adobe, Google Analytics, Glassbox.
