Customer Training Developer

Fixed Term Contract until 23rd October 2026

Locations and Salary:

Manchester: £35,100 - £40,510

Guildford: £36,550 - £42,180

As one of five Customer Training Developers, you’ll design and develop digital training materials aligned with adult learning theories, such as Kolb’s Learning Cycle. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, manage content lifecycles, and use feedback for continuous improvement. The role is output-focused, requiring adaptability, strong communication, and a clear understanding of customer needs.

Summary

Create, design, and develop customer training content across multiple formats to support our training programs. Role model AQA’s values, contribute to business success, and take responsibility for personal growth. This role is part of the Customer Training Development team, working alongside Customer Training Coordinators and reporting to Training Leads. Knowledge of adult learning design theory, such as the competency cycle and Kolb’s Learning Cycle, is beneficial. The role is output-focused, requiring flexibility and collaboration.

This role has no line management responsibilities. Key activities include project management, designing online training materials, stakeholder management, developing briefing documents, monitoring training effectiveness, and maintaining content lifecycle standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills are essential, along with a customer-focused approach and compliance with policies and legislation.

To succeed, you should be confident in balancing learner and organizational needs, results-driven, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
