Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Customer Team Member in Minster. The role involves delivering friendly, helpful service in a busy store, possibly across post office, bakery, or online order pick/pack tasks. Full training is provided for this 16-hour week position with regular overtime on a 12-month temporary contract.

You will be part of a team that keeps shelves stocked, processes transactions, and supports the local community while helping customers join Co-op Membership and access member benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering friendly, helpful service.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, thoughtful service and help customers find what they need.
• Work with the team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Operate tills and assist with daily shop floor tasks.
• Maintain shelves, check prices and product dates.
• Support store safety and legality, including temperatures where relevant.
• Promote Co-op Membership and engage with the local community.
