A popular retail cooperative is seeking Customer Team Members for a new store in Wynyard. The role requires friendly customer service, teamwork, and flexibility in shifts. Employees will benefit from 31 days holiday, a pension scheme, virtual healthcare, and a 30% discount on store products. Ideal candidates must be 18 or older and have strong people skills.
We're looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at our new Co-op Food store opening in Wynyard. This is a chance to be part of something from the very beginning, helping shape how the store runs and supporting a growing, close-knit community.
As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that's dedicated to helping our customers. We'll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.
At Co-op, we do things a different way. For over 175 years we've focused on making things fairer for our members and their communities, and as a colleague we promise to take care of you. You'll get support for your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, as well as market leading policies to help you through life events from bereavement and pregnancy loss to fertility treatment and menopause.
A genuine care for the needs of customers and members:
You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team member at Co-op, as it requires working before 6am or after 10pm or some other business need.
We have a range of permanent part time and full time opportunities with contracts starting from 12 to 39 hours per week including 25-hour roles in our in-store bakery. We're happy to discuss what hours work for you at interview.
We want to build diverse teams and we welcome applications from everyone. We want our stores to be inclusive environments, where our colleagues can reach their full potential. We celebrate our differences and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities they serve.
If you have a disability, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process according to your needs. We&aposre also part of the Disability Confident scheme, meaning we'll always offer an interview to disabled candidates who apply through the scheme if they meet the minimum criteria for a job.
We'll ask whether you'd like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply.
If we invite you to take part in the recruitment process for any of our jobs, we'll ask you if you need any reasonable adjustments to enable you to participate.
