Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Customer Team Member to join our local store in Bradford. The role involves a mix of opening, middle, and closing shifts, with weekend work and potential early starts.

You’ll help keep shelves stocked, assist customers, and participate in in-store services such as the bakery or post office where applicable. You’ll deliver friendly service, work with a team on daily operations, and promote Co-op Membership while supporting the local community.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience.
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy.
• Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep shelves stocked and ensure prices, dates, and temperatures are all correct.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community.

Customer Team Member

Location: 47 High Park Drive Heaton, Bradford, BD9 6HX

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 8 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview. Role will include working in our in-store bakery

Full, paid training provided

You must be aged 18 or over to apply for this role as it may involve either, working before 6am or after 10pm, or some other business-related needs.

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
