Position: SPAR Customer Team Member

As a Customer Team Member at SPAR, you will support store management and create a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities include maximising sales and profit by performing assigned tasks, ensuring excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for Later, and Food for Now!’

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Customer Service
  • Greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
  • Processing purchases efficiently and accurately.
  • Upselling products and highlighting offers.
Store Operations
  • Managing stock, checking deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Performing tasks like date checking, stock rotation, price changes, and promotional displays.
  • Following all company policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Knowledge
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for improving customer service and sales.
  • Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
