Customer Team Leader

Location: 150 Kings Road, Belfast, BT5 7EJ

Pay: £13.65 per hour

Contract: 18 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part-time

Working pattern: Varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) at weekends, to be discussed at interview

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you’ll need to authorise age-related sales.

We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op.

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to help lead the store team – coaching and supervising our Customer Team Members and deputising for the Store Manager, while also delivering great customer service and performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do

  • Provide friendly and thoughtful service – giving welcoming, helpful, and considerate assistance every day, often managing the store and handling challenging situations
  • Develop your team’s capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone’s voice is valued and respected
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational
  • Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to enhance the shopping experience
  • Support your store manager by deputising when necessary and delivering various HR processes
  • Lead the introduction of new products and services in your store – working with your team to implement changes and gather feedback
  • Build relationships and engage with your local community, supporting the delivery of the local Co-op community plan
