Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Leader in Glasgow to run a busy local store, lead a small team on shift, and deliver essential services to the community. The role is part-time (16 hours per week) with regular overtime and a permanent contract; shifts include early mornings, afternoons and at least one weekend day.

You’ll mentor colleagues, support merchandising and stock accuracy, and champion Co-op membership while helping customers with a friendly, hands-on approach during varied hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management preferred; not essential.
• Ability to lead a team and deliver great service.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes

Customer Team Leader

Location: 219-223 Wallacewell Road Balornock, Glasgow, G21 3PR

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening 5:45am), afternoons, late evenings (store closing 10pm) including at least 1 weekend shift, to be discussed at interview

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co‑op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
