Job summary

Join Co-op as a Customer Team Leader in Romford to lead a small store team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent customer service. You’ll work on the shop floor, manage shifts, and drive performance in merchandising, stock accuracy and community engagement.

Applicants should demonstrate leadership, flexibility, and a retail or merchandising background. This is a part-time, permanent role with weekend flexibility and a London allowance included in pay.

Location: The Retail Unit Turpin Avenue, Colliers Row, RM5 2PU

Pay: £15.73 per hour including London allowance

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) including at least 1 weekend shift, to be discussed at interview.

Join us as a Customer Team Leader and take the next step toward managing your own store.

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
