Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Leader in the UK to run shifts, lead a small team on the shop floor, and deliver excellent service and store operations. The role is part-time (16 hours per week) with regular overtime and a permanent contract, based at 93 Bush Road, Cuxton, Rochester.

The successful candidate will motivate, coach and support colleagues, manage merchandising and stock accuracy, and engage with customers to promote Co-op membership and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Retail, merchandising or team management experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.

Customer Team Leader

Location: 93 Bush Road Cuxton, Rochester, ME2 1EY

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: Closing shifts from mid-afternoon through to late evening. Will include at least 1 weekend shift which will require flexible availability. Additional availability can be discussed at interview.
