Job summary

Join Co-op Group as a Customer Team Leader in Bedale to lead a small team in a fast-paced store and ensure excellent customer service. You’ll be on the shop floor at times, manage daily operations, and support merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR tasks.

You’ll drive community engagement, promote Co-op membership, and help deliver services such as post office or home delivery where available. This role suits flexible, people-focused leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small team in a busy retail environment.
• Ability to coach and motivate staff to deliver great service.
• Flexible with shifts, including afternoons and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.

Location: 3 Market Court , Bedale, DL8 1YA

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 18 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: Closing shifts from mid-afternoon through to late evening. Will include at least 1 weekend shift which will require flexible availability. Additional availability can be discussed at interview.

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
