Job summary

Co-op Group in Oldmeldrum (near Inverurie) is hiring a Customer Team Leader to oversee a busy local store on a part‑time basis. You’ll lead a small team, handle shifts on the shop floor and at tills, and ensure excellent service while delivering daily store operations.

You’ll be working 25 hours per week with overtime potential, and you’ll be part of a community‑focused store that values member engagement and local charity initiatives. Applicants must be 18+ and flexible.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria: age 18+ and flexible to cover shifts.
• Experience in retail, merchandising or team management is welcome.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team on fast‑paced shifts.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.

Location: Unit 4 Colpy Road, Oldmeldrum, AB51 0BZ

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 25 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We're happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

As a Customer Team Leader, you'll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, helping to deliver essential services to your community. Depending on your store this could involve you working in our post office or bakery or supporting online services and our home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
