We're proud to be working with a world-class manufacturer of specialist test equipment as they look to grow their expert Customer Support team. This is an exciting and varied role that combines hands-on problem solving, customer engagement, and international travel - supporting high-performance systems trusted across the power, OEM, and engineering sectors.
What you'll be doing:
Working as part of a collaborative, solutions-driven support team, you will:

  • Deliver technical support for electro-mechanical test equipment via phone, email, remote access, or site visits
  • Commission, maintain, and train users on equipment at customer sites around the globe
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs down to component level
  • Respond promptly to warranty claims, ensuring smooth resolution and high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate service call records in SAP B1, from first contact to case close
  • Prepare RAMS documentation and follow safe working practices in all environments
  • Generate reports, service analysis, and commissioning documents
  • Collaborate with Sales, Production and Design teams to share insights and suggest improvements
  • Contribute to service quotations, customer communications, and trend analysis
What we're looking for:
  • ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (apprenticeship preferred)
  • 5+ years in a hands-on technical support/service engineering role
  • Proven experience working on industrial control systems
  • Confident reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and handling repairs independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP/CRM)
  • Valid UK driving licence and passport – you'll travel globally at short notice, typically for up to a week at a time
Why this role?
  • Be part of a reputable global company with a strong customer-first ethos
  • Work with high-quality, precision-engineered technology
  • Enjoy a mix of hands-on engineering and client interaction across varied industries
  • Competitive salary and travel allowances
  • Supportive team environment with ISO-accredited processes and a people-focused culture
