Position: Customer Support Advisor at Chaneys Chartered Surveyors

Location: Head Office - Chaneys - Chiltern House, Marsack Street, Reading, RG4 5AP

Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday - Friday

Salary: £23,810 per annum

Job Description:

The role of Customer Support Advisor is responsible for providing an ongoing and efficient customer-focused support service to residents and clients. The Customer Support Advisors work closely with the Property Management Team as well as other key stakeholders. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  1. Dealing with a range of telephone and email correspondence from both internal and external parties.
  2. Understanding, reading, and responding to all enquiries in a polite, timely, professional, and friendly manner.
  3. Dealing with instructions and issues that arise on the regional property portfolios and evaluating the appropriate course of action.
  4. Presenting a logical argument verbally on the phone, as and when required, in a straightforward, polite, and business-like manner.
  5. Ensuring all written communications are presented in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct format.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  1. Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
  2. Exemplary telephone manner and the ability to manage difficult and challenging calls.
  3. Confidence to probe and fact-check information.
  4. Excellent listening skills and an ability to ask appropriate questions to ensure a full understanding of the incoming queries.
  5. Commitment to self-growth and personal development, particularly during the probationary period. We recommend familiarising yourself with training materials supplied in your induction.
  6. Ability to effectively prioritise your workload within a busy and fast-paced environment.
  7. The ability to make and rationalise decisions using the appropriate resources and materials available.
  8. Taking responsibility for your day-to-day workload and prioritising urgent tasks.
