Did you know that HEINEKEN own over 2,400 pubs in the UK? HEINEKEN has a long-held belief that pubs are an integral part of British culture and that well-invested pubs, run by skilled operators can prosper and thrive. As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.
Part of building a better future is supporting our lessees, ensuring they have the right tools to build their businesses and play an important part in their thriving communities. This would be impossible without gold-star colleagues who care about people, account management and everything we stand for.
There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Customer & Supplier Billing Co‑ordinator to join our Star Pubs team!
Our Star Pubs Central Operations team works with colleagues across Finance, Property, Supplier Management and the wider business to support our pubs and licensees.
The Customer & Supplier Billing team looks after customer accounts, supplier invoices and payments, helping make sure the numbers are right, queries are dealt with and the financial processes behind our pubs run as they should.
Reporting to the Customer & Supplier Billing Team Manager, you'll help keep billing across Star Pubs running smoothly, making sure customer accounts and supplier invoices are accurate, queries are resolved and payments are managed correctly.
You’ll work with colleagues across Finance, Property, Supplier Management and our field teams, as well as customers and external suppliers. A big part of the role is taking ownership of issues, getting to the bottom of discrepancies and making sure they don't keep cropping up.
You’ll also help monitor supplier performance, produce reports and spot ways to improve our processes, making life easier for the people who rely on the team.
So, what will you be doing? Here are some key accountabilities:
You’ll also support projects and other activities as needed, so there's plenty of opportunity to get involved beyond the day-to-day billing.
You’ll be organised, analytical and comfortable working with numbers, with a real eye for detail and accuracy. You’ll enjoy investigating issues, finding solutions and making sure queries are resolved properly rather than simply passed on. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of your workload while contributing positively to a collaborative team. Experience with systems such as Business Central would be useful, but the key is having the right approach, a willingness to learn and the confidence to work with different stakeholders to resolve issues.
If you’re someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of a problem, keeping things on track and making a practical difference to how a business operates, this could be your next move.
We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked regarding skillsets.
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive:
You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
Embracing and celebrating diversity is core to HEINEKEN’s purpose of “brewing the joy of true togetherness to inspire a better world”. We believe that people as diverse as our brews – including and not limited to gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, social background, disability and thinking style – enrich our lives and strengthen our business. We welcome and consider applications from all qualified candidates as we champion a culture of belonging that provides fair and equal opportunities for all.
If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example, if you require information in different formats, or if you have any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes – please feel free to get in touch with us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
