WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Everyday Banking (EDB) is the at the heart of our growth strategy with our Current Account and Overdrafts, Savings, and Payments products supporting our mission to provide the best products for our UK customers and to grow relationships of the bank.


The EDB Payments product team lead the product, proposition, and commercial management of multiple payment methods for our PCA accounts, across the core brands for the Group - Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, and Halifax - ensuring that our products and services meet the changing needs of our customers. We sit at the heart of Consumer Relationships identifying growth opportunities and outlining initiatives to drive customer experience and commercial profitability.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, you’ll be shaping and influencing the regulatory landscape in a way that supports the Group’s strategic objectives, protects customers, and ensures sustainable business outcomes. This role will lead proactive engagement with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies, ensuring the Group’s voice is heard in key consultations and policy developments. This will be achieved through cross collaboration internally and externally.



Key responsibilities


Regulatory Engagement and Influencing

  • Lead the Group’s response to consumer payments related regulatory consultations, market studies, and policy proposals (e.g. FCA, PSR).
  • Represent the Group in industry forums and working groups, ensuring our views are clearly articulated and evidence based.

Strategic Insight
  • Monitor and assess emerging regulatory trends and risks, providing timely insight to senior leaders.
  • Translate complex regulatory developments into clear implications for the business and customers.
  • Shape internal positions using cross-functional input and external intelligence.

Internal Collaboration and Briefings
  • Prepare high quality briefings and talking points for executive engagement with regulators.

Governance and Risk Management
  • Ensure regulatory influencing activity is well-governed and aligned with Group policies.
