Customer Software Engineer - Scotland - Up to £50,000

If you love working directly with clients, taking requirements, managing customisations to complex and powerful software, and have good knowledge of Java, this is the perfect role! Ideally based in Scotland, but remote in the UK for the right person, you'll be involved in one of the most exciting industries on the planet.

The Role:

• Working closely with customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and designing solutions tailored to specific projects and missions
• Developing primarily in Java, but experience in other areas like Python, Embedded-C, JavaScript, Linux, etc., would be highly valuable
• Joining an established team of approximately 10 members under the guidance of an experienced industry specialist
• Over time, you will have the opportunity to recruit into, lead, and grow a small, focused team to help deliver customer projects

To be considered, you will have:

• A background in software development in Java
• Experience on customer projects, external delivery, such as consultancy, agency work, or project management
• Good experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and technical documentation
• Ability to understand, engage, and communicate effectively with clients
