Job summary

OurCoop is looking for friendly, customer-focused individuals to join our in-store team in a role that supports daily operations across checkout, shop floor, housekeeping, and more. You will help promote membership and participate in community-focused activities, with training and progression opportunities built in.

As part of a multi-skilled team, you will cover different and diverse tasks in a fast-paced and active setting. You’ll support the daily running of the store, working on:

• Checkouts
• The shop floor
• Housekeeping
• Date code checking
• Temperature checks
• Administration
• The in-store bakery.

You will promote the benefits of membership to customers, encouraging people to join and have a say in how we are run.

In-store Bakery

Some activities within our store operation have legal limits set on the age for which you can carry them out. For this reason, we may have to be more selective for some roles. There are also legal restrictions on young person's working hours that may impact our decision-making during the selection process, based on business needs. How will I know if I am right for this role?

If you have flexibility in your working hours (including availability on evenings and weekends) our stores can offer you a wide variety of shifts.

You’ll have a chance to work alongside the whole in-store team, passionate about delivering exceptional service every day, making sure we are there when our customers need us.

You don’t need any prior experience

A warm and friendly character, you will love talking and listening to our customers, you’ll actively play a part in the community spirit of the store and become a valued member of the Society.
