Job description

Customer Services Assistant
Telford
Permanent

Circa £27,750 which rises after probation
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (40 hours a week) + 25 days holiday + BH

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well – established manufacturer in Telford. This is a permanent role, where you will be working in a small team, the main purpose of this role is to handle any customer requirements establishing the obtainment of the order. The purpose of this position to work closely with a senior customer service agent to answer any queries, ensure all orders received are put onto the system and give customer’s information related to their order.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

• Maximise all sales opportunities by promoting the highest standard of customer care
• Receiving and processing all telephone, Fax, Email and EDI orders
• Processing manual credits
• Deliverance of order acknowledgements ensuring correct prices, part numbers and realistic delivery dates
• Maintain and develop customer and consumer records/profiles including recording information
• Technical support to consumers/customers upon breakdown of equipment
• Provide administrative support to the International Sales team as and when required, including customer offer deals, reporting, and new customer setup
• Maintaining the CSM system
• Carry out some sales calls to new and existing customers with objectives of getting appointments for sales team to visit or introducing new products/ follow up on leads.
• Co-ordinate customer returns and stock discrepancies
• Completing new line forms for External sales
• Dealing with Customer and Consumer complaints
• Attentive, prompt and courteous handling of all customer enquiries
• Confirming stock availability when required
• Internal support for Sales & Marketing
• Carry out any reasonable task requested by management
• Extracting data from UK sales and submit electrical waste information
• Administrate support to sales and marketing team
• Off site visits to customers/trade shows/exhibitions and service providers
• Administrative duties on customer portals
• Sales return orders/obtaining supporting documents

Skills and Experience
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you must demonstrate strong communication skills, possess high attention to detail and previous experience in a high-volume Customer Service role. Whilst speaking to customers you will need to spot opportunities to recommend additional or alternative products. You must have excellent data entry skills and have the ability to use initiative and have a flexible approach to work. Strong IT skills are essential.
