Residential Services offers accommodation for over 8200 students across 3 main residential sites, our diverse population includes those attending a course in preparation for university study, undergraduates and postgraduates from both the UK and other parts of the world. In addition, we offer a range of accommodation options during the summer vacation period for both students and conferences.
A vacancy has arisen within the Customer Service Team for a Customer Service Assistant for our student facing reception areas. The post holder will be required to work across various receptions as required. Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday covering the hours between 8am – 6pm on a rota basis, but with some weekend working as required. This is to ensure excellent service students, conference guests and students and to assist with university open days.
The post holder will be responsible for providing reception services to residents, conference guests and other visitors to the accommodation as well as providing clerical support to colleagues as required. Customer Services Assistants are required to sort, log and distribute mail items for residents.
The successful candidate will have proven reception experience and possess demonstrable excellence in customer service.
Sound written and verbal communication skills are also essential attributes for this role, along with a good understanding of IT-based administrative systems.
