Job description

Residential Services offers accommodation for over 8,200 students across three main residential sites. Our diverse population includes students preparing for university, as well as undergraduates and postgraduates from the UK and internationally. During the summer vacation, we also provide accommodation options for students and conferences.

A vacancy has arisen within the Customer Service Team for a Customer Service Assistant at our student-facing reception areas. The post holder will work across various receptions as needed. Hours are generally Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm, on a rota basis, with some weekend work to ensure excellent service for students, conference guests, and support during university open days.

The role involves providing reception services to residents, conference guests, and visitors, along with clerical support to colleagues. Customer Service Assistants are also responsible for sorting, logging, and distributing mail items for residents.

The successful candidate will have proven reception experience and demonstrate excellence in customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a good understanding of IT-based administrative systems.
