Job description

Role: Customer Services & Admissions Assistant

Hours: 26 hours per week

Salary: £23,751.00-£24,429.00 (Full Time Equivalent)

Pension:20.8%(£4,940.20-£5,081.23)

Location: Stretford campus (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites)

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services and Admissions Assistant to join Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

About You

We are looking for someone who has experience of providing a high quality customer service and a range of services and support to internal and external customers. You must have previous experience of working in a busy customer orientated environment, dealing with a range of customer enquiries of a complex and in depth nature.

The Job

You will be responsible for greeting all students and visitors to the College, ensuring safeguarding is followed at all times. In addition, you will be answering calls via the main College switchboard, dealing with email enquiries, providing course information to callers, visitors and via email as well as assisting the Admissions team with processing on-line application forms. The Reception area is a very busy environment, and you will build up an excellent working relationships with students, tutors and regular visitors to the College.

In addition, the role requires the postholder to work one late night each week, usually until 6.30 pm, during Term Time, to facilitate students attending evening classes.

In order to be successful in this role you must have numeracy and literacy at level 2 or above, a basic IT qualification such as City &Guilds 4242 in Information Technology or ECDL and an NQV Level 3 in Customer Care or Business Administration. An NVQ Level 2 qualification in Information and Guidance would be desirable.
