Job description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large and well-known organisation with the recruitmentof a Customer Support Advisor to join their team based in Newtownabbey.

This is a Full-Time Monday-Friday position. Temporary contract expected to last for a minimum of 6 months.

Salary

£31,495 + fantastic benefits in a modern organisation e.g. Flexi time, free parking & excellent modern offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise customer service teams at designated locations.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle escalated customer issues and service recovery.
  • Support customer complaint management and reporting.
  • Assist with customer service strategy implementation.
  • Manage telephone systems and voicemail.
  • Support event bookings and service promotions.
  • Ensure availability of customer information and resources.
  • Provide feedback to improve customer service systems.
  • Develop and deliver customer service training.
  • Manage uniform ordering.
  • Provide general administrative support.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 GCSES (Grades A-C) to include English Language and Maths.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a customer services function.
  • Experience in switchboard, reception and handling payments.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience dealing with a high volume of calls.
  • Experience in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Access to a suitable form of transport.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role including operating a customer management information system and managing a team of customer service advisors.
