Job description

This role will put you at the forefront of our Business Centre. It is a fast-moving, challenging role that offers great exposure to our vibrant customer base, allowing you to influence the service we provide. You will manage a team of over 40 colleagues and serve as a Duty Manager at times throughout the week.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful team and start a career in Food Wholesaling.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring team compliance with legal standards and company procedures.
2. Training your team in cash handling to minimize losses.
3. Controlling debt and recovering overdue or failed payments from customers.
4. Maintaining accurate and timely payroll records.
5. Engaging with customers to resolve issues and improve satisfaction based on feedback.
6. Liaising with other department supervisors to monitor delivery orders.
7. Managing a customer-focused team in the reception and checkout areas.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

1. A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
2. Flexibility, adaptability, and enjoyment in managing a team.
3. Excellent communication skills and some supervisory or managerial experience.
4. Practical experience in retail.
