Job Description

Lancaster County Barns is seeking a personable, team-oriented individual with a caring and professional disposition for our business in Lancaster, PA.

Customer service is critical to the ongoing success of our business. The role functions within our organization as a liaison between prospective customers and our vendors during the production facilitation process.

You will be expected to contribute to the growth and expansion of Lancaster County Barns, and your responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Understand and embrace Lancaster County Barns' customer-focused approach to helping customers achieve their outdoor structure goals.
  • Engage with customers via phone and email to:
    • Establish rapport and trust
    • Explain our process to help them achieve their goals
  • Develop understanding of Lancaster County Barns' product line and vendors.
  • Prepare customer quotes at the request of Inside Sales.
  • Follow up with sales prospects to collect signatures and payments electronically.
  • Provide high-quality customer service after the sale and during callback resolution.
  • Schedule fulfillment and coordinate communication to facilitate successful product delivery.
  • Manage customer relationships and maintain up-to-date records of order status via FollowUp Boss and Extranet.
  • Manage unresponsive lead nurture processes across all sales agents (monthly/quarterly).
  • Perform other customer service-related duties as assigned by Lancaster County Barns.
  • Complete a 40-hour work week in the office between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum two years in client service or other customer-facing roles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior customer service experience or knowledge of the Amish outdoor structure industry.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to improve processes.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and successfully with both vendors and customers.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible in a collaborative environment.
