Customer Service Representative
Location: Reading – Office based.
Employment Type: Full time, Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm
Industry: Manufacturing / Distribution / Technical Sales Support
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

What You'll Be Doing:

Customer Engagement & Order Management

  • Manage inbound enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and efficiency
  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams
  • Provide first-line support for technical product queries (training provided)
  • Build product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions

Logistics & Internal Coordination

  • Track deliveries and liaise with the warehouse on stock, backorders, and shipping
  • Maintain accurate records using internal systems and shared documentation tools
  • Ensure all bookings and order updates are captured in real-time

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily and monthly reports to support business operations
  • Stay on top of administrative tasks with precision and timeliness

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in customer service, order processing, or sales support
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with other departments

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., OrderWise)
  • Background in logistics or warehouse coordination
  • Familiarity with technical or colour-matching equipment (nice to have—not essential)
