Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Engineer role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving network and related infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing technical solutions in line with engineering standards and best practices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting changes and procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and technology upgrades. The Engineer will also help ensure compliance with relevant policies, support incident resolution, and participate in planned maintenance and project work.



Qualifications

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis.
  • Relevant experience in network, systems, or telecommunications engineering in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, configuration management, and documentation of technical processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Understanding of industry standards, security principles, and best practices for high-availability services.
  • Comfort working in an on-site environment with occasional out-of-hours support or maintenance when required.
  • Experience within telecommunications or mobile network environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
