Job description

Are you an experienced Customer Service Planner with a background in social housing or contractor repairs? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing high volumes of calls and ensuring customer satisfaction? If so, we want to hear from you!

We're looking for a dedicated and organised individual to join our growing team as a Customer Service Planner in Basildon. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of up to 27,500 per annum. Please note, this role requires full-time office-based work with no hybrid options available.



About the Role

As a Customer Service Planner, you'll be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:

  • Handling high volumes of incoming calls and communicating effectively with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and supervisors.
  • Scheduling appointments efficiently to ensure our contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
  • Acting as a key back-office contact for residents, utilising various communication methods including telephony and email.
  • Using our MSi system to actively schedule available operatives and subcontractors for jobs.
  • Confidently addressing complex repairs, managing demanding customers, and resolving service failures to instil customer confidence.


About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Proven experience in scheduling/planning within a Social Housing or Contractor repairs environment.
  • Competence in communicating effectively with direct operatives, subcontractors, and residents.
  • Basic building maintenance knowledge, including the duration required for various tasks.
  • Strong planning knowledge regarding sequencing and concurrent works.
  • The ability to prioritise works and ensure work-in-progress jobs are within target.
  • Previous experience dealing with high volumes of calls and customer repair-related enquiries.
  • Excellent written & verbal English skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisation & communication skills, enabling effective interaction with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • A genuine passion for service delivery and customer satisfaction.
