We’re helping one of our Private Equity Clients hire a Customer Services Manager for an innovate and growing Medical Device company within their portfolio.

The business is an industry leader in Cold Compression Therapy, a game changer for recovery from surgery and sports injuries. With a wide variety of ongoing contracts with hospitals and sports clubs internationally, innovation, client engagement and end user support are key to success in this market, which this business prides itself on.

Customer Service is a key measure for success, with this role as pivotal to the ongoing success and growth. The Customer Service Manager is a strategic hire that will require someone not only with excellent customer engagement and project management skills, but also a strategic mindset.

The role

  • Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll have a high degree of autonomy and be responsible for the Customer Service Function and team.
  • A player / manager role with a small customer service team, which is a mix of full and part time, plus onsite and remote workers.
  • As a key part of the management team, you will be involved in the Strategic direction of the business and advise the board on possible problem areas and efficiency measures for stock management and rotation.
  • You’ll establish best practice operationally and implement processes for efficient stock management, including creating and managing bookings.
  • Interact directly and help manage key accounts, including surgeries, hospitals and sports clubs, both locally and internationally.
  • As a senior member of the management team of a small, dynamic and growing business, you will need to help where needed and supporting both Sales teams and warehouse as needed.
  • You’ll work closely with internal teams to provide a seamless and professional service for the end user.

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years Account Management and/or Customer Service with either Medical Devices or a similar product.
  • Minimum 3 years team leadership experience.
  • A customer centric mindset with strong communication and problem solving skills and experience of working with a diverse client portfolio.
  • Stock management and rotation experience is critical, with a knowledge of managing customer expectations and also internal communication effectively with Sales and Warehouse teams.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to multitask is key to this dynamic role.
  • A strategic and growth mindset, proactively identifying areas for improvement and actioning necessary change.
  • Experience of working across a diverse team and an ability to develop a professional working culture in your team and the wider business.
