We are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service Coordinator to join our friendly team at Tarmac ‘Hub’ in Mountsorrel, Quorn, near to Loughborough, Leicestershire. This is a great opportunity to join a successful Customer Service team engaging with customers via telephone and email to ensure orders are progressed speedily. Working 8 hrs per day Monday – Friday. The shift patterns are between 7am – 5.30pm (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm or 8.30am-5.30pm). You will also work occasional Saturday morning on a rota basis (1 in 4).

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, the role of Customer Service Coordinator will work cross-functionally within our Customer Service Team and be the initial point of contact for our customers.

Your role as a Customer Service Coordinator will include:

  1. Responsibility for customer enquiries via telephone, online and email orders from initial contact through to delivery
  2. Providing customers with an excellent customer service experience ensuring high level of customer care and attention at all times
  3. Clear communication, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders
  4. Completing data entry and order processing tasks
  5. Collaborating within the team and other stakeholders to clarify facts, exchange information, support colleagues and resolve queries
  6. Inputting accurate customer data into the CRM system
  7. Building relationships with the key stakeholders in the account base
  8. Working closely with the Fleet and Capacity planners to ascertain transport and material availability
  9. Ensuring customers are kept informed at all times allowing us to plan our transport fleet to meet relevant commercial demands
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Customer Service Coordinator will have experience gained within a similar role, engaging with stakeholders. Suitable candidates for the role of Customer Service Coordinator will have:

  1. First class customer service and clear, concise communication skills both written and verbally
  2. Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  3. Confident telephone manner
  4. An approachable and engaging manner
  5. Ability to demonstrate tenacity and resilience when working under pressure
  6. Flexibility to work in a successful team environment
  7. A desire to grow and be successful
  8. Confidence in the use of IT systems including MS Word and Excel
  9. Experience of Salesforce CRM advantageous but not essential (training provided)
