Job description

About the role:

Being a Customer Services Assistant with Your Co-op is more than operating tills and stacking shelves. Here, you will be part of a business that puts people at the heart of everything they do.

Some of your key responsibilities would be:

  1. To go the extra mile to ensure customers have a fantastic store experience
  2. To provide customers with a speedy and convenient checkout process
  3. To ensure the store looks presentable for customers
  4. To replenish stock to ensure customers can purchase our wide variety of products
  5. To be actively involved with social activities and during-work-time volunteering hours to support your local community

You can find more details about Customer Service Assistant responsibilities in the attached Job Description document. Your shift pattern may include some evenings and weekends, but we value your time outside of work and we’ll make sure your rota is available 4-weeks in advance – giving you peace of mind to be able to make the most of your days off.

We’ll review your application as soon as possible and if it matches with this role requirement, one of our friendly recruitment team will get in touch to chat and find out more about you. The next step of the process is to attend a face-to-face interview with a Store Manager where you can show us what you’re made of and you may even get an offer the same day!

Who are we looking for?

You will need:

  1. To be customer focused and deliver excellent store experiences
  2. A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members
  3. Enthusiasm and resilience to support your colleagues during demanding times
  4. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, ranging from daytimes to evenings and weekends
  5. Confidence and a friendly, approachable nature

At Your Coop, we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where our colleagues can bring their authentic selves to work, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the job description, don’t worry!
