Customer Service Assistant
Flint | Monday to Friday | 39 hours per week
Temporary to Permanent | Immediate Start Available

Salary & Hours
£25,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm | Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm

About the Role

gap personnel is proud to be representing our client, a well-established and growing company based in Flint, in their search for a Customer Service Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone with office and customer service experience to join a supportive team and play a key role in maintaining strong customer relations.

As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll act as a vital link between customers, internal teams, and engineers—ensuring enquiries are actioned efficiently, systems are up to date, and service standards are consistently high.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and respond to customer and internal enquiries promptly

  • Manage the engineering diary and assign upcoming jobs

  • Liaise with engineers to collect and raise required site visit sheets

  • Monitor customer portals weekly, updating customer information as needed

  • Handle technical and engineering-related queries via phone and email

  • Maintain and update internal project tracking sheets

  • Conduct general system maintenance and data housekeeping

  • Manage incoming emails and general customer queries

  • Assist with invoice queries from the accounts department

  • Close off completed engineering calls, process invoices, and update internal records

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in an office-based role (customer service background preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to produce clear reports and handle routine correspondence

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
