Job description

Help our customers get their holidays off to a fantastic start as one of our trusted Travel Money Advisors. You’ll provide excellent service in our in-store Travel Money bureaus and be part of our Winning Team, making a real difference.

You’ll be the face of Travel Money for Sainsbury's Bank, building good relationships with customers and delivering friendly service that encourages repeat business.

Your main focus will be handling currency, so attention to detail is essential. While you'll be supported by a close-knit team, you'll often manage the bureau independently, so confidence in decision-making is important.

Experience in finance or cash handling is ideal, but not essential as we provide comprehensive training. What matters most is your enthusiasm for helping people, your eye for detail, and comfort working with large sums of money and figures.

We offer a competitive pay rate and a range of benefits:

  • Discount card – 10% off most items in Sainsbury’s, Argos, and Habitat after 4 weeks, with increased discounts on specific days.
  • Generous holiday entitlement based on hours worked.
  • Family leave – including maternity and paternity leave.
  • Pension – Sainsbury’s matches 4-7% of your contributions.
  • Sainsbury’s share schemes – save to buy shares at discounted prices and invest regularly.
  • Wellbeing support – including free access to Unmind and an Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Colleague networks – fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Cycle to work scheme – hire a bike and accessories, saving on taxes.
  • Shopping discounts – on gym memberships, restaurants, holidays, and retail vouchers.

Flexible shift patterns are available, including early, late, and weekend shifts, to fit your schedule.

Successful candidates will need to consent to DBS and credit checks due to the role's nature.

We value work-life balance and are committed to diversity and inclusion. As part of the Sainsbury’s Group, we offer numerous opportunities for colleagues to grow and succeed. Join us to be part of something bigger and help put customers at the heart of everything we do.
