About The Role

CUSTOMER SERVICES - IT’S A PEOPLE THING

Are you someone who can start a conversation in an empty room? One of those people who always manages to get things done, no matter how much there is to do? If the answer is yes and yes, there’s a place in our Customer Service team for you.

It’s not about what you know. It’s who you are. As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be doing one of the most important jobs in our business: looking after our customers. This involves building relationships, understanding their needs, and helping them do it better.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class service, using your product knowledge to maximize upselling opportunities. Your days will include communicating with customers via telephone, email, and website requests. You’ll manage orders from enquiry to post-hire feedback, taking ownership of the customer journey and building relationships with regular customers. You’ll need to think on your feet and use your initiative to ensure we provide an excellent experience and continually improve our service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in customer service, preferably with industry knowledge, who want to see the impact of their work in a hands-on, operational, service-focused business.

To succeed as a Customer Service Advisor, you should have:

  • Proven experience in customer service, handling inbound enquiries and completing transactions successfully
  • Experience in hire or construction industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to develop product knowledge and understand our business
  • Exceptional communication skills, including negotiation and influencing
  • Good judgment and initiative to make decisions within company policies
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in MS Office and enthusiasm for learning new IT systems
