Job description

Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant - Temporary to Permanent

Location: Wellingborough

Salary: Up to £15.00/ £29,000 permanent equivalent (Dependent on Experience)

Type: Permanent - Hybrid working available - Up to 2 days a week from home

Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week - 9am to 17:30pm - 1 hour lunch

Macildowie are working with this client based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire to recruit a Temporary to Permanent Purchase Ledger Assistant.



Contract: 12‑week assignment (ASAP start with potential extension to 6 months, likely to go permanent)

Role Overview:


Work in a fast-paced Purchase Ledger team (4 members), supporting processing of ~70 stock and ~80-100 non‑stock/estates invoices daily under a new CODA ERP system.

  • Responsibilities include:
  • matching invoices to POs
  • running weekly BACS runs
  • statement reconciliation
  • supplier/internal
  • query resolution
  • invoice coding
  • payment raising
  • email communication.

The role requires attention to detail, confidence in querying, and Excel proficiency.
