A public service organization in Oxford is seeking a Customer Service Adviser to be the first point of contact for customers. Customer Service Advisers are the first point of contact for library customers and partners. The role involves continuous interaction with users face-to-face, via email, or by telephone, significantly impacting the customer experience. Responsibilities include helping customers find and use resources, performing administrative duties, and organizing library materials and information.
This front-facing role requires excellent customer service skills. Experience within a Local Authority or similar environment, such as a library, is advantageous. You must follow procedures, maintain confidentiality, be confident with ICT, learn new systems, and use initiative to handle unexpected problems. The role demands a calm approach under pressure and adherence to strict timescales.
