Customer Service Administrator within HR
  • Salary - £28,000
  • Hours - 8.30 - 5pm or 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Location - Cressex Head Office, with home-based work 2 days per week

About the role

At Biffa, we have an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Customer Service experience who wishes to expand their skills into HR. As a HR Administrator in the Employee Services team, you will provide excellent administrative support to internal and external customers, maintaining high service standards and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

This is a high-volume department dealing with topics such as company cars, family leave, and system support. Most interactions are via email and systems, but phone support is also required.

Key responsibilities

  1. Be the first point of contact for internal staff, providing timely resolution of queries and guidance on company policies.
  2. Support and educate staff on company procedures and system usage.
  3. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements, and Key Performance Indicators to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high service levels.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOPs to enhance service quality.
  5. Manage and resolve client enquiries end-to-end within set timescales, ensuring client satisfaction.
  6. Maintain accurate employee information in databases.

Candidate requirements

  1. Studying towards a CIPD qualification is desirable.
  2. Over 2 years of experience in HR administration or a senior Customer Service role.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  4. Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with employees at all levels, from operatives to directors.
