The opportunity:
To act as part of an office-based support to the Customer Account Management team with the specific role of coordinating the day-to-day requests of Customer accounts allocated and managing the commercial agreements between SWRK and these Customers on a day-to-day basis. The role is normally applicable to UK & Irish Customers.
How you will impact WestRock:
- PROCESSING ORDERS & INSTRUCTIONS received from Customers including assessing the conformity of these instructions with commercial agreements between the Customer and SWRK, entering them into the SWRK manufacturing process system and monitoring them throughout the supply life-cycle.
- INTERNAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT of Customer/Key Account requests related to cartons, such as - new artwork, carton design or pricing.
- MANAGING CUSTOMER REQUESTS working closely with the Planning and Manufacturing operational staff, to maximise the commercial efficiency with which SWRK can satisfy these requests.
- SUPPORTING the general relationship between the Customer and SWRK – working with the Key Account Managers to ensure a high level of professionalism and perceived commitment to the customer.
- ESTABLISHING A RAPPORT and direct lines of communication with Customers purchasing and logistics personnel to enhance the B2B working relationship. This includes carrying out periodic visits to Customer sites.
- Playing a key part in operational FORECASTING of board requirements to allow long-lead time board ordering and minimization of board stocks and machine utilization.
- OPERATING AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF A SELF-SUPPORTING INTERNAL SALES TEAM, providing a standardized approach and enabling seamless service to customer coverage during team member absences.
What you need to succeed:
- With professional stature and customer credibility especially on the telephone
- Logical and analytical with experience of supply chain management in consumer goods production industries
- Ability and desire to listen to customers and identify customer’s needs
- Commercially aware
- Ability to work as part of a team comprising other customer service personnel and key account managers, pre-press and manufacturing planning departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Effective communicator at all levels of the business
