Job summary

Travis Perkins in Hitchin is seeking a Sales Assistant to deliver outstanding customer service, help customers find the right products, and contribute to a friendly shopping experience.

The role includes assisting in the Yard and Warehouse, processing orders and deliveries, while upholding safety standards and working closely with colleagues to meet branch targets.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Able to handle heavy/bulky stock safely.
• Willingness to learn about building materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard customer service to in-store and phone customers.
• Process orders and arrange deliveries in the Yard.
• Maintain safety and orderly presentation in the branch.

• You don’t need to be an expert in building materials and tooling, we’ll support you to learn this on the job!


• Are you a team player who is comfortable to step outside of your role to support colleagues across the wider branch?
