Safran Engineering Services in the UK is seeking a Contractor for a Customer Quality Assurance Engineer role based in Pitstone, Hertfordshire. The position is full-time and Inside IR35 for 12 months, acting as the bridge between design, production and customer to assure safety, compliance and contract fulfilment.
You will drive non-conformance handling, RCCA/FRACA analysis, and continuous improvement using APQP tools such as PPAP, FMEA and MSA, aligning with EASA/CAA Part 21J and Part 21G
In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Contractor to support as a Customer Quality Assurance Engineer. This position will be based full time in Pitstone, Hertfordshire and will be on an Inside IR35 basis only for 12 months.
The Customer Quality Assurance Engineer is a specialised role created to function as a link between the businesses program and manufacturing functions and the customer, making sure engineering design and production standards meet safety, regulatory (EASA, CAA) and customer requirements focusing on risk mitigation and process compliance.
The Engineer is responsible for handling customer non-conformances and acting as a primary quality liaison between the business and customer supporting design assurance oversight in line with Part 21J and production oversight in line with Part 21G airworthiness requirements.
You will be familiar with the customer contract requirements for Quality and use it to create measurable quality targets for design and manufacture. With customer expectations identified, engineer will champion improvement projects to deliver more effective contract fulfilment.
You will champion contacts with the customer, production, engineering, configuration and support functions focusing on defect prevention, root cause analysis and continuous improvement using APQP tools as PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
You will interact directly with the customer, engineering, configuration control, supply chain and supplier quality teams and ultimately act as a support resource for the NPI program teams. You are the point of escalation for product quality matters with the customer and within the project and manufacturing teams to maintain compliance with airworthiness and customer requirements.
