Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role

Location: Cardiff, Wales

Hours: 40

Permanent Role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the Depot general administrative duties ensuring full systems management and reconciliation for customer charging and credit and organising some 3PL contract details plus general support with reporting daily and weekly KPI results, invoice checking and processing of daily & weekly reports plus general office support.

The role works within a small office environment with a clear alignment to office and administrative duties with a focus on financial data collation and reporting and Depot performance data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support and work within both internal and external computer systems such as SAP general other Microsoft packages.
  • Maintain auditable and retrievable invoicing and filing of PODs – ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Planning collections and deliveries for 3PL contracts with in house and external Transport suppliers.
  • Processing, management and escalation of customer service generated collection notes.
  • Ensure timely adherence to the credit request process (DMS) and the appropriate escalation levels on cash value credits.
  • Lead the losses reports and analysis function, owning the driver shorts; engaging with drivers and department managers to find root cause of losses.
  • Work with Customer Contact Department to resolve complaints/issues within time frames.
  • Use POD’s to investigate customer claims through dispute system.
  • Support the Site ‘Safety First’ message through active auditing.
  • Build and develop effective relationships with other teams both on site and centrally to ensure cross functional working and the optimal performance of the function is achieved

The Right Person

  • Previous administration experience in a busy FMCG role is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of SAP is highly desirable.
  • PC literate, including a working ability with excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and WMS.
  • Educated to GCSE level (min. 5 GCSE grade A*-C or equivalent).
  • Ability to build good working relationships with employees.
  • Good leadership skills, with a confident, open and honest style of communicating.
  • A strong customer focus, always willing to go the extra mile to deliver a good service.
  • Self motivated with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and resilience.
  • Lead by example with the ‘Safety First’ message
