Job summary

Premier Work Support is seeking a General Assistant to support our Leatherhead site. You will assist customers, sell stock and process payments, delivering friendly, efficient service. Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but training is provided.

The role is based on shift work with a pay rate of £13.50 per hour, and locations include Leatherhead and Reigate. Join a busy team and help maintain a welcoming shop floor, handle till duties accurately and support colleagues

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Confidence handling cash and processing payments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Retail, sales or customer service experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with their purchases and providing excellent customer service.
• Selling stock and ensuring customers receive the correct items.
• Operating the till and processing cash and card payments accurately.
• Handling cash responsibly and following cash-handling procedures.
• Replenishing and organising stock as required.
• Checking stock levels and reporting any discrepancies.
• Keeping the sales and working areas clean, tidy and well presented.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock movements and general housekeeping.
• Answering customer queries in a polite and professional manner.
• Supporting colleagues with general duties as required.
• Following all company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements.
