Job summary

Stott and May represents a VC-backed technology startup building AI-enabled software for complex industries. The role is a hands-on engineer who will sit with users, understand workflows, and own problems end-to-end from idea to deployment.

You will work directly with customers to translate real-world processes into software, shape features, and ship production-grade solutions using React, TypeScript, Python, and AI integrations. This is an on-site role in London within a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks.
• Backend development in Python.
• Experience integrating AI systems into production products.
• Strong product judgment and ownership.
• Excellent communication with customers (non-technical users).
• Willingness to work on-site in London, fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand real workflows.
• Translate messy operational processes into clear software products.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend, data, and AI.
• Develop production-grade UI using React and TypeScript.
• Build backend services, APIs, and business logic in Python.
• Integrate AI features using LLMs, agents, and model-backed APIs.
• Run customer calls, write specs, build features, and ship to production.
