Customer Development Executive – Britvic

Location – Middlesbrough & Surrounding areas

Permanent, Full time – 40 hours per week

Salary: £29,750 basic + 20% Bonus

Role Overview

As Customer Development Executive, you will help grow Britvic’s market share in the soft drinks category within your territory. Working as part of a successful team, you will drive sales of our portfolio—including Pepsi Max, 7Up, Lipton, Tango, Robinson’s, Rockstar, Carlsberg, 1664, Poretti Beer, and Jimmy's—by maximizing brand availability and visibility in Symbol and Independent stores.

Minimum Requirements
  • Previous experience in Convenience, Business Development, or FMCG is preferable.
  • Field-based role requires a manual driving license.
What You’ll Do

Working with a Regional Sales Manager, your responsibilities include making face-to-face contact with existing retailers, establishing and retaining new business opportunities, and executing a business plan to maximize sales.

  • Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and executing tailored solutions.
  • Create and implement a business development plan to grow sales and market share.
  • Achieve key sales metrics and support your team in execution excellence.
  • Adopt a category-based selling approach to develop outlets for mutual benefit.
  • Use data and evidence to drive best practices across your region and team.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and adaptability in overcoming challenges.
About You
  • You are passionate, driven, fun, and target-oriented, capable of bringing brands to life.
  • You thrive on being the key contact for customers, driving new business, and maintaining sustainable relationships.
  • You are eager to succeed in convenience retail, advocating our brands and focusing on consumers.
  • Previous experience in Direct Sales, Convenience, or FMCG is advantageous.
  • You possess strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, planning, IT, and social media skills.
  • You are self-motivated, resilient, and energetic, with the ability to act swiftly.
  • You are a team player and eligible to work in the UK, living within a 60-minute commute.
