My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Participate in communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
- Develop technical and professional proficiency through training and readiness to resolve customer issues.
- Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology, setup, and deployment processes.
- Proficiency with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access).
- Understanding of Office integration with platforms such as Windows, SharePoint, OneDrive, and third-party networks.
- Networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.) - preferred.
- Object-oriented programming experience - preferred.
- Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
- Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
