Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ownership of, investigation, and resolution of customer technical issues, collaborating across teams and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participation in community knowledge sharing with peers.
  • Development of technical and professional skills through training and readiness initiatives.
  • Identification of potential product defects and escalation to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Fluency in English and effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Office deployment processes.
  • Proficiency with Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access).
  • Understanding of Office integration with Windows, third-party networks, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Preferred skills include networking, communication protocols (FTP, HTTP), object-oriented programming, and technical literacy.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
