Customer Demand Planner (Warehousing)


Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester

Hours: 40 per week, 8am-5pm

Salary: Circa 30,000 per annum + Company Benefits (25 days holiday + Bank Holidays)

My client is a dynamic market leader within the manufacturing industry. They have a passion for service excellence which has contributed to their rapid growth within the last few years. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Demand Planner (Warehousing) to join their growing team in Trafford Park.

The Customer Demand Planner (Warehousing) will be responsible for validating and completing customer quotes prior to order processing. This role ensures stock accuracy and availability, identifies suitable alternatives for out-of-stock components, and manages goods-in activities in line with established SOPs. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff to perform routine stock checks and work cross-functionally to support smooth operations.

Example of Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately review and validate customer orders, ensuring they align with available stock. Where items are unavailable, identify and suggest suitable alternative products to meet customer requirements.
  2. Monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and actively participate in regular stock checks to maintain data accuracy.
  3. Manage the goods-in process and ensure all stock movements are correctly processed and reflected in systems.
  4. Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and aligned with operational planning.
  5. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance order validation, stock handling, and related processes.

Essential skills:

  1. Previous experience within a similar role is required.
  2. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Programmes)
  3. Experience in supply chain data analysis.
  4. Must be able to commute to Trafford Park on a daily basis.
  5. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
