About the role

As a Technician Specialist, you'll bring our distinctive John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a 2-person delivery crew.

You will also coach and develop other delivery drivers in home installations and customer service, acting as a role model for the great service John Lewis is known for.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
  • Coach, develop, and assess your delivery team members.
  • Assist with loading deliveries at the warehouse.
  • Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
  • Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use to customers.
  • Stay updated on new products and technologies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous installation experience (training provided).
  • Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points).
  • DCPC and Tachograph Card.
  • Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of delivering large items.
  • Good understanding of technology.

Full-time, 41 hours/week, working 4 days a week either in the AM shift (06:00-17:00, Mon-Sat) or PM shift (10:30-21:30, Mon-Fri, and 07:00-18:00, Sat).
