About the role

As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the opportunity to deliver our John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets as part of a two-person delivery team.

Driver Installer Responsibilities:

• Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Load deliveries at the hub with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their operation.
• Stay updated on new products and technologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

This role involves heavy lifting, including large items like sofas, white goods, and mattresses.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points)
• DCPC and Tachograph Card
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle
• Customer-facing experience
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of technology

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• White goods installation/disconnection
• TV installation
• Flat pack assembly

Driver Technician Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service as a brand ambassador.
• Coach and develop colleagues.
• Load deliveries with the warehouse team.
• Respect customers' homes and handle issues professionally.
• Install various products, including wall-mount TVs and integrated appliances.
• Keep current with new products and technologies.
• Maintain safety standards.

This role also involves heavy lifting with large items.
