ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you’ll deliver quality Waitrose produce and partner-led service to customers’ doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers.

When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation within a friendly team.

Note: You must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Start your day in-store, checking your delivery routes.
  • Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
  • Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
  • Support shop tasks when needed, such as stock management.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
  • IT literacy.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.

Pay: £13.39 Hourly

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Varied hours, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.
